The key is the precise machining of the patented lever mechanism: turning the lever forward engages the base of the ring, pulling the ring down and forward and locking it into its zero position. Constructed from alloy steel with a matte finish, this quick-release two-piece base is designed for fast on/off use while maintaining accurate zero and secure mounting.
