WHEELER scope ring alignment and lapping kits provide the tools needed to align and lap scope rings for reliable scope mounting and improved accuracy. Alignment bars offer a quick method to verify and correct vertical or horizontal misalignment so rings make full surface contact with the scope tube, reducing stress that can dent the tube or distort the reticle. Lapping bars and lapping compound are used to lap the inside of rings to improve alignment, enhance grip on the scope and minimize marring; a lapping handle is provided in some kit variants for easier use. Kit contents vary by variant and can include alignment bars, lapping bar(s), a lapping handle and 220 grit lapping compound.
