The Smith & Wesson Model 1 hinged universal handcuffs combine a hinged design with a push-pin double locking system for enhanced restraint and security. Fabricated from high-quality carbon steel with heat-treated internal lockworks and smooth ratchets, these handcuffs open wider for larger wrists and close tighter for smaller wrists to improve control and safety. Hinged handcuffs restrict subject movement more than chain-linked designs. The Model 1 offers 31 locking positions, includes two keys, and meets NIJ standard 0307.01.
