The KA-BAR TDI is a compact fixed-blade knife developed for law enforcement and close-quarters defense. Designed by John Benner of the Tactical Defense Institute, the TDI pairs an AUS 8A stainless steel drop point blade with a hollow grind and 15-degree edge angles for reliable cutting performance. The Zytel handle and included hard sheath with reversible black metal belt clip provide a low-profile, durable carry option that conceals the unit when worn on the pant belt. Specifications from the variant include a blade length of 2-5/16", overall length of 5-5/8", blade thickness of 0.125, hardness of 57-59 HRC, and a weight of approximately 90.7 grams. The knife is sold with its sheath and is purpose-built for tactical and law enforcement applications.
