The hook and loop closure allows to adjust for the length of the magazine or knife, and the rounded case edges won't catch on other duty belt gear. Padded, reinforced flaps with knit lining protect magazines; a nylon stiffener in the flaps makes them easier to open and keeps their shape after continued use.
