The AR-15/M4 Super Precision series of scope mounts are optimized for use with AR-15/M4 uppers. The mounting surface spans 7 Picatinny sections and utilizes 4 shear lugs for secure attachment. These mounts use Geissele's update of the classic nut-and-bolt method for clamping the mount to the Picatinny rail, with each nut and bolt combination providing 1,400 pounds of clamping force. The Super Precision mounts are made from 7075-T6 high strength aluminum and are machined from a single piece of billet aluminum, allowing pockets and ribs throughout the mount for added strength and rigidity. This construction allows Geissele to line bore the caps to each other and serialize the caps to the body, creating a precise fit to the body of your scope and enabling proper torque without fear of crushing or damaging the scope. Cap locations are designed to suit a wide variety of scopes.
